Centre for Halal Quality Certification Obtains GAC Accreditation
The Centre for Halal Quality Certification has successfully completed the accreditation process with the GCC Accreditation Center (GAC), thereby obtaining another internationally recognised accreditation in the field of halal certification.
The accreditation was carried out in accordance with the standard GSO 2055-2:2021 – Halal Food – Part 2: Requirements for Halal Certification Bodies, thereby confirming the Centre’s compliance with international requirements for bodies conducting halal certification.
Obtaining GAC accreditation is particularly significant for Croatian producers and exporters, as it further strengthens the international acceptability of the Centre’s halal certificates and opens up new opportunities for placing products on the markets of the Gulf countries.
GAC operates within the accreditation system of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), comprising Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
This accreditation is yet another indicator of the Centre’s continuous work and dedication to improving the quality of halal certification, strengthening its international recognition and providing high-quality support to Croatian producers and exporters.
