1. General Information

The Centre for Halal Quality Certification (hereinafter: the Centre) respects users’ privacy and protects personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Centre collects, uses, processes and protects the personal data of website users, particularly through the contact form i halal certification application form.

  • halal certification application form

  • official email communications

  • telephone or other official communications


4. Types of Personal Data We Process

4.1. Contact Form

Putem contact form prikupljamo sljedeće podatke:

  • full name

  • email address

  • telephone number (if provided)

  • content of the enquiry or message

This data is used solely to respond to the enquiry and is not used for marketing purposes.


4.2. Halal Certification Application

Putem halal certification application form prikupljamo podatke nužne za provođenje certifikacijskog postupka, uključujući:

  • the name and details of the legal entity

  • full name odgovorne osobe / kontakt osobe

  • Personal Identification Number (OIB), where applicable

  • address of the registered office and/or production facility

  • email address and telephone number

  • information on business activities, products or services

  • documentation required for the certification procedure

The above data is processed solely for the purpose of carrying out halal certification, in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards.


5. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • zaprimanje i obrada upita putem contact form

  • conducting the halal certification procedure

  • communicating with applicants

  • maintaining records in accordance with legal and internal obligations

  • issuing certificates and maintaining a register of certified entities


6. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of personal data is based on:

  • the data subject’s consent (kontaktni obrazac)

  • taking steps prior to entering into a contract and performing a contract (certifikacija)

  • compliance with legal obligations

  • the Centre’s legitimate interest, within the scope of certification activities


7. Personal Data Retention Period

  • Podaci iz contact form čuvaju se onoliko dugo koliko je potrebno za obradu upita, a najdulje [npr. 12 mjeseci].

  • Data collected during the certification procedure is retained in accordance with applicable laws, certification rules and the Centre’s internal policies.

After the retention period expires, the data is deleted or anonymised.


8. Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Data

The Centre does not disclose personal data to third parties, except:

  • where required by law

  • where necessary to carry out the certification procedure

  • to authorised external service providers (e.g. IT support), subject to a confidentiality agreement

Data is not transferred outside the European Union unless all conditions prescribed by the GDPR are met.


9. Data Subject Rights

Users have the right:

  • to access their personal data

  • to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data

  • to have data erased, where applicable

  • to restrict processing

  • to object to processing

  • to withdraw consent at any time

10. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that your rights in relation to the processing of personal data have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

11. Data Security

The Centre applies appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse of personal data.


12. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Centre reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. All amendments will be published on the website in a timely manner and will take effect on the date of publication.
