The Centre for Halal Quality Certification participated in the 4th European Halal Congress in Sarajevo.

The Centre for Halal Quality Certification participated in the 4th European Halal Congress, held on 9 and 10 June 2026 in Sarajevo, organised by the Agency for Halal Quality Certification of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Centre for Halal Quality Certification took part in the Congress and provided support for the organisation of this significant international gathering dedicated to the development of the halal industry. The Congress brought together representatives of halal certification bodies, the academic community, business and institutions from numerous countries across Europe and the world.

During the Congress, the latest trends and challenges in the field of the halal industry were presented, with particular emphasis on standardisation, food safety, sustainability, innovation and the development of the halal market.

A particularly notable presentation was delivered by Mihaela Brijak Gutierrez, founder of the Croatian company Raw Cakes & Raw Sweets by Mihaela, certified by the Centre for Halal Quality Certification. In her presentation entitled “Premium Raw & Plant-Based Halal Products – From Concept to Market: Bridging Health, Quality and Consumer Trust”, she presented the development of premium raw and plant-based halal products and the importance of linking quality, health and consumer trust in the contemporary market.

In recognition of its contribution and support for the holding of the Congress, the organisers presented the Centre for Halal Quality Certification with a certificate of appreciation, which was received on behalf of the Centre by Muhamed Mandžić, Manager of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification.

Participation in the Congress once again confirmed the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge in the further development of the halal industry and in strengthening the position of halal-certified products and services in the European and global markets.
