WORLD HALAL DAY 2020

Head of the Centre Participates in WORLD HALAL DAY.

Organised by United World Halal Development from Singapore, World Halal Day was held from 1 to 3 November 2020, this year in an online edition under the theme: “Halal – Resilience of the Global Economy”.

One of the speakers at the conference was Assistant Professor Dr. sc. Aldin Dugonjić, who spoke on the topic: “Halal Certification and Industry in the New Normal”. In his presentation, the head of the Centre presented the results of a survey conducted among halal-certified manufacturers and service providers in Croatia. The results show, among other things, that demand for halal products during the pandemic increased by 14.3%. “All indicators suggest that the halal market and the growing demand for halal products have an extremely large potential to influence a faster recovery and further growth of the economy, regardless of the pandemic,” the head of the Centre concluded his presentation.
