A meeting was held at the Turkish Airlines office in Zagreb between the Director of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Ömer Ünsal Okçu, and the Manager of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Mr. Muhamed Mandžić.
During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities for further developing cooperation between the Centre for Halal Quality Certification and Turkish Airlines, with particular emphasis on two events organised by the Centre — the Halal Travel & Taste Summit and the Business Forum 2026, to be held in Dubrovnik.
Special attention was given to the growing importance of halal tourism at the global level, as well as to the potential for developing cooperation in the fields of air transport, international destination promotion and connecting business partners from different parts of the world.
The concept of the Halal Travel & Taste Summit was also presented, an event that will bring together representatives of the tourism, gastronomy and air transport sectors with the aim of exchanging experiences and opening new opportunities for cooperation in the segment of halal tourism.
Discussions also covered the international Business Forum 2026, which will take place from 11 to 13 November 2026 and bring together business leaders, investors, institutions and representatives of the halal industry from Europe, the Middle East and other international markets.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the meeting and readiness to continue communication and develop future joint activities.
