Representatives of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification Participated in the Singapore Halal International Seminar
The Singapore Halal International Seminar, one of the most significant global forums dedicated to the development and advancement of the halal industry, was held at the Hilton Hotel in Singapore. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, regulatory bodies, halal organizations and institutions, and experts from different parts of the world.
At the official opening ceremony, addresses were delivered by the Chief Executive of Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS), Mr. Kadir Maideen, and Singapore's Minister of State for Home Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. In their speeches, they emphasized Singapore's key role in the global halal ecosystem, highlighting the importance of international partnerships, high standards and consumer trust. They added that halal goes beyond the confines of the food industry, as it also encompasses the values of ethics, integrity and social responsibility.
The seminar, held on 24 and 25 September 2025, included a series of panels, discussions and visits to relevant institutions and companies, with the aim of strengthening trust, exchanging experiences and further developing the halal ecosystem at the global level.
Representing the Centre for Halal Quality Certification were the Deputy Mufti, Mevludi ef. Arslani, and Muhamed Mandžić, Acting Manager of the Centre. Their participation confirmed the Centre's active role on the international scene and the significance of the Croatian model of halal certification within global frameworks. The seminar was also attended by representatives of the Islamic Community in Slovenia: Fahrudin ef. Smajić, responsible for halal affairs, and Mr. Haris Muratagić, Head of the Office of the Mufti of Ljubljana.
