Return visit of the delegation of the Croatian Standards Institute to the Centre for Halal Quality Certification

As part of the continuation of successful institutional cooperation, the Centre for Halal Quality Certification received an official visit from a delegation of the Croatian Standards Institute. The delegation consisted of the acting director of the Croatian Standards Institute, Mr Igor Božičević, and the president of the Institute’s Expert Council, Mr Igor Župančić, who met with the acting head of the Centre, Mr Muhamed Mandžić.

During the meeting, the continuous and constructive cooperation between the two institutions was confirmed, particularly through work in Technical Committee TO34/PO17 – Agricultural and Food Products; Food Safety Management Systems. Special emphasis was placed on the new national standard related to halal quality, whose adoption is underway and which is currently in the public consultation procedure within the activities of the Croatian Standards Institute.

With expressions of mutual satisfaction at the continuation of dialogue and the exchange of expert experience, both sides confirmed their firm commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the field of standardisation and improving the quality of products and services covered by halal certification in the Republic of Croatia.
