Seminar Held at the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Osijek County Chamber.
On 22 October 2020, the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, in cooperation with the Osijek County Chamber, organised and held a seminar entitled “Success of the Application of the Halal Certificate in the International Market.”
Representatives of various companies attended the seminar. In his lecture, the head of the Centre, Dr. Aldin Dugonjić, stated that over 50% of companies that have implemented the halal standard have increased their profits by opening new markets or by increasing the number of overnight stays for guests seeking halal services.
Mr. Dugonjić highlighted the interesting fact that, precisely during the coronavirus pandemic, demand in the halal market increased significantly, and visible tendencies of further growth and expansion of the halal market can be seen. At the end of his lecture, the head of the Centre presented the steps and activities that should be undertaken to boost exports and competitiveness in the halal market.
This was followed by a presentation by Ms. Vesna Gostić Manojlović from the company Mlinar d.d., who shared experiences in applying the halal standard and opening new markets thanks to the halal certificate. At the end of the seminar, numerous questions and answers from the seminar participants followed.
