Strengthening Competencies: Training for Internal Halal Quality Auditors Brings Together 30 Participants

Today, organized by the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, a training course for internal halal quality auditors was held, intended for representatives from the production, hospitality and meat industry sectors. Around 30 participants from different parts of Croatia attended the training.

In the introductory part of the training, Muhamed Mandžić, Manager of the Centre, presented the work, role and objectives of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, emphasizing the importance of continuous education and maintaining high standards of halal quality in business.
Enisa Botonjić, Head of the Education Department, spoke about the Sharia aspects of halal and haram, explaining the fundamental religious principles that form the basis of the halal system and their practical application in various economic sectors.

Mirela Tinjić, mag.nutr., delivered a lecture on the topic Halal Standard Requirements, in which, given that a new revision of the Centre's standard HRN BAS 1049:2025 was published this year, she highlighted the most significant changes within the standard and explained their impact on manufacturers, hospitality providers and other entities in the halal quality system.
Dr.vet.med. Nazif Kreso followed up with a topic on the specific requirements of the halal standard in the meat industry.

The technical part of the training was led by Zlatko Majhen, IT support at the Centre, who introduced participants to the application of the DMS system (Document Management System). Participants learned how to effectively manage documentation, submit requests for product lists and improve the transparency of the certification process via the digital platform.
Through interactive lectures, discussions and practical examples, participants acquired new knowledge and skills necessary for the quality implementation of internal audits and the improvement of the halal system in their organizations.

We thank all participants for their active participation and contribution to a successful training!
