Three Zagreb Hotels Become New Halal Certificate Holders
It is well known that, despite the pandemic, the halal market continues to prove itself as one of the fastest-growing markets.
Halal tourism occupies a special place in the development of the halal market, as shown by research results conducted among certificate holders in Croatia, which indicate that 50 percent of them experienced a 1–5 percent increase in the number of overnight stays/guest arrivals, while more than 31 percent saw an increase of 5–15 percent.
Yesterday, the certification procedure was completed for three Zagreb hotels under the Hilton brand—DoubleTree by Hilton, Canopy by Hilton, and Hilton Garden Inn, managed by Zagreb City Hotels—with a formal halal certificate award ceremony.
This marks a continuation of efforts to raise service quality and enrich the tourism offer.
On this occasion, the head of the Halal Quality Certification Centre, Assistant Professor Dr. Aldin Dugonjić, stated: “The business year coming to an end has been extremely challenging yet successful, and it is our pleasure to conclude it by awarding halal certificates for food and beverage services and accommodation to three renowned hotels in the city of Zagreb.”[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]
“These three new holders of the halal certificate and the ‘halal friendly’ label—bringing the total to seven in Zagreb—are a guarantee of increased competitiveness on the world tourism map,” he added.
