Visit of the delegation of the Republic of Turkey to the Centre for Halal Quality Certification

The director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Zagreb, Mr Fuat Korkmaz, and the attaché for religious affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Ahmed Hamdi Šošoglu, visited the Centre for Halal Quality Certification. The aim of this visit was to establish and strengthen cooperation between the Centre and institutions in the Republic of Turkey. The discussions focused on key aspects related to halal accreditations, certification processes, and the standardisation of procedures of mutual interest to both sides.

The delegation was welcomed by the acting head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Mr Muhamed Mandžić. One of the main topics of the meeting was the possibility of exchanging expert knowledge and experience, as well as introducing joint activities that would contribute to improving the quality of the halal industry. The participants agreed that establishing direct contacts between organisations contributes to more efficient resolution of challenges and enables long-term and sustainable cooperation. During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the Centre’s work to date, its achievements, and its plans for future projects.
