Halal as a Link: Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia in Strengthening Economic Exchange and Joint Approach to Third Markets

A meeting was held at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Croatia between Her Excellency Ambassador Elma Kovačević-Bajtal and the acting head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification in the Republic of Croatia, Mr Muhamed Mandžić. During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation in the field of the halal industry, with special emphasis on institutional networking and strengthening economic exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

In an open and substantive conversation, topics included the establishment of a business club of Bosnian-Herzegovinian economic entities in the Republic of Croatia and the importance of their coordination and mutual support, particularly in the context of joint appearances at upcoming economic and halal events in both countries.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities of a joint approach to third markets with the aim of promoting regional products and services, and emphasised the importance of continuously strengthening halal infrastructure based on expertise, trust, and long-term common interests.

Further communication and exchange of information were agreed upon in order to develop the initiated initiatives into concrete projects of mutual interest.
