Representatives of the company Pestrid d.o.o., led by director Mr Halil Salha, visited the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, where they were hosted by the acting head of the Centre, Mr Muhamed Mandžić.

A delegation of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia, led by Mufti Academic Aziz ef. Hasanović, today visited the Chairman of the Management Board of Vindija d.d., Mr Nenad Klepač.

Mufti Hasanović expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and recalled the late Mr Dragutin Drk, the long-time owner of Vindija d.d., who led the company for more than 50 years and was a prominent business leader in the Republic of Croatia, with whom the Islamic Community had established a long-standing and successful cooperation.

Today, the acting head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Mr Muhamed Mandžić, held an official meeting with the director of the Croatian Standards Institute, Mr Igor Božičević.

At the premises of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, the acting head, Mr Muhamed Mandžić, received an official visit from a representative of the Turkish national minority of the City of Zagreb, Mr Bari Ahmedija. During the meeting, they discussed possibilities for cooperation, including the promotion of halal standards, connecting Turkish entrepreneurs with halal-certified companies in Croatia, and organising joint cultural and educational activities.

The director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Zagreb, Mr Fuat Korkmaz, and the attaché for religious affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Ahmed Hamdi Šošoglu, visited the Centre for Halal Quality Certification. The aim of this visit was to establish and strengthen cooperation between the Centre and institutions in the Republic of Turkey. The discussions focused on key aspects related to halal accreditations, certification processes, and the standardisation of procedures of mutual interest to both sides.
